Club Subversion is run by a small team of dedicated fetishists who have been active on the London scene for a number of years. Club Subversion is a fetish club, usually on the first Saturday of each month from 10pm - 5am.

The club is split into 5 separate areas - a dance area, couples room, HUGE dungeon with low level music, a chill out area and small medical area.

The music downstairs is dirty, funky breaks and beats. 

The resident DJs are well known throughout the scene and love nothing more than a packed gyrating dance floor! The music upstairs in the play area is atmospheric and ambient (music you can hear a crack of a whip to!).

There is a team of resident Mistresses, Masters and slaves as well as on hand - Dungeon Monitors to help if needs be but most of the time they are just about to make sure everyone is behaving themselves. If you have not been to a fetish club before please read the first time tips on Club Subversion website before you set out.

There is a strict dress code and you will be turned away at the door if you do not have the right attire with you. If in doubt about your outfit just give them a call!

Singles and couples are welcome and many people of both sexes who attend on their own as well as in non "couple" groups. Subversion is a friendly club where bad manners and inappropriate behaviour are not tolerated.

Yes, he’s human… well at least he used to be now he is a human tattoo!

Lucky Diamond Rich has spent over 1,000 hours having his body modified. He has even tattooed his eyelids, skin between the toes, ears and gums! 

He’s also in the Guinness Book of Records as the most tattooed man on the planet. He only has one tattoo (his own words) but it covers his entire body (including the inside of his mouth and ears) and it has multiple layers. He had thoughts about the most tattooed men and women ever since he was a child but he didn’t think about becoming one of them until he got his first tattoo, a small juggling club on his hip.

Lucky Diamond Rich was born in New Zealand but currently performs as a chainsaw juggling, sword swallowing entertainer in Australia. he has spent more than 1000 hours getting his body tattooed around the world, but he was not satisfied, so he opted for a black ink covering his entire body. He is now getting white designs on top of the black and colored designs on top of the white. I guess he really a work in progress, just like he says.

Did I mention he replaced all his natural teeth with silver ones?

Residents plan East End Gay Pride to combat hate

A group of friends from east London are to stage the first East End Gay Pride as a response to an anti-gay poster campaign in the area.

Last month, PinkNews.co.uk revealed that an anonymous sticker campaign had declared the area a “gay-free zone”.

Now, the group of six friends are arranging a Pride parade for April 2nd and say they want to show they are “here and queer”.

Organiser Raymond Berry, a transport worker who lives in east London, said: “We want to send a message that this is actually a very gay-friendly area. We’re here, we’re queer, so get used to it.”

He and five friends, who all live or work in the area, say they have been going out at weekends to scrape the stickers off walls and lampposts.

Mr Berry, who says the parade is open to everyone, told PinkNews.co.uk: “This isn’t the kind of Pride parade people are used to. It will just be the march and then the White Swan is putting on music and cabaret so people can have a day of it.

“No disrespect to the big events, but this is the first Pride in a long time that really means something – it’s a direct response to a hate campaign. It’s taking it back to the old days of Pride and that’s the spirit we want everyone to get into.”

The parade has been backed by local police and Tower Hamlets council.

However, the friends have no idea how many participants are expected as “bickering” meant they had to delete their Facebook page for the event.

The source of the anti-gay stickers has not been identified but there has been animosity in the local LGBT community over who is responsible.

Last week, gay journalist and East End resident Johann Hari said the east London gay community was unwilling to blame anti-gay attacks on the high proportion of Muslim residents.

Gay rights campaigner Peter Tatchell has also drawn attention to anti-gay attacks by Asian youths.

But Jack Gilbert, of LGBT forum Rainbow Hamlets, claimed the stickers, which mention Allah, were probably made by the English Defence League.

Mr Berry said: “We’re not here to discuss who or why – that’s up to the police and local authorities.”

He has emphasised that the parade is non-political and has asked marchers not to bring any political signs or banners.

The group also says it has had to reject requests from organisations such as the English Defence League, the Socialist Workers Party and Unite Against Fascism to “jump on board” with the event.

The march will begin in Shadwell’s King Edward Memorial Park, passing along The Highway and Commercial Road before ending at Poplar Recreational Park.

East London Mosque and mayor condemn anti-gay stickers

Rainbow Hamlets LGBT Community Forum said it welcomed the mayor and mosque’s comments.

People who see homophobic posters are being asked to report them to the Metropolitan police on 0300 1231212.

They are asked to photograph the poster if possible and record the time and its location.

If the posters can be removed in one piece, people should place it in a box with the sticky side up and take to a local police station.

Police have received ten reports of homophobic or transphobic incidents in Tower Hamlets so far this year. Seventy-four were reported in 2010.

Englishman John Lynch holds the record for most body piercings at 241 piercings, including 151 in his head and neck.

The world most pierced man is now almost 81 years old old John Lynch or Prince Albert - his nick name which will give you a clue to where some of his piercings are.  John is from Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire, UK.

He was found to have 241 piercings including 151 in the head and neck when examined and made sure he had some extra piercings beforehand to gain the record in London on the 17th of October 2008. He said, "I never thought about breaking the record, I've alway's just done it cause I like it, but it is quite an achievment" "I was actually a few short so had 20 or so popped into my arms to up the numbers and if somebody beats me I could always find space for a few more."

John Lynch  is a unique character whose story is just as interesting as his visible appearance. He is known for having the most piercings of anyone in the UK where he resides. You may recognize him from tattoo and piercing sites, tattoo conventions, and magazines.  

A former Barclay's Bank manager, Lynch gave up his 'regular' life style in the late 1990's after reading a book on piercings.

John Lynch (UK) was born 9th of November 1930. He worked in a bank for 30 years before retiring and getting his first piercing in his nose. Lynch hated the conformity of the work place and developed an interest in extreme body modification as a way of standing out from the crowd. Although the piercing came after he left the bank, Lynch got his first tattoo when he was in his 40's.     

I have personally met this man, a very nice, interesting easy going gentleman.

Yes, the eyeball tattoo. People really are getting their peepers tattooed in more or less the same way that you would get any other part of your body inked.

Along with two of his friends, Pauly Unstoppable and Josh, Shannon Larratt, founder and owner of body-modification website Bmezine.com, had the procedure done. Although Shannon is heavily modified and said it wasn’t “a big deal”, he did concede to feeling a little trepidation: “I’d much rather a bunch of people had done it before me, but what choice do I have?”

Shannon says they adopted “a really simple, lo-tech approach” to the procedure. His eye was held open, using a forefinger and thumb, as the pigment, which is the exact same type you would use in a regular tattoo, was injected into his eyeball.

“We injected pigment under the top layer of the eye using a syringe, which, to the best of my knowledge, has never been done before, either medically or cosmetically.”

Although that sounds rather dangerous, Shannon is adamant it isn’t: “The eye is very resilient; you can put almost anything in it. Your eye actually is designed to be able to handle contaminants being there.”

And while researching the procedure he found documents dating back to the late 19th century, when it was first offered as a corrective surgery for people with poor sight, and then as a cosmetic practice to change the colour of the eye.

“It’s one of the oldest forms of tattooing,” says Shannon. “There are medical reports on it from that era that are all positive. They basically say it’s safer than regular tattooing. That’s one reason we felt fairly secure moving forward with this – we felt that if they could do it in 1900 and not have any problems then we should be able to do it now.”

And it’s also done on unsighted eyes reasonably often; it’s not uncommon for people who are blind or have various deformities in their iris to have a doctor touch it up with a tattoo.

“But we’re the first three for a very long time that have had it done on sighted eyes, so this is still in the range of a highly experimental procedure, especially with the injection method,” says Shannon, who plans to have more injections done to give the tattoo a more solid appearance, and then
to have the other eye done as well.

The new name for this extreme body art is Human Branding but more commonly known as scarification, originally and still frequently used in Africa for decoration and to mark the passage into adulthood.  

Children have tribal designs cut into their faces, chests, and backs, in order to show they are man enough to withstand the pain without uttering a single noise.  Tribal countries have used scarification as a way of showing what tribe or family they belonged to. These marks are also used to help tribes identify friend or foe.

The technique is slowly making its way across the globe, though in the United States and Europe it typically results in more flat red scars and less raised bumps for a more aesthetically pleasing appearance.

Some people will go to great lengths to stand out in the crowd, which has meant some extreme methods of body modifications over the years. 

Gone are the days of standard tattoos or piercings, today there are many new ways to alter the human body in a way that will make it more unique than it already is. Here are some bizarre body modifications.
